The training puts emphasis on business intelligence (BI) essentials that is visualization, reporting and other BI tools that are globally used. It also focuses on enhancing the visualization building, analytics and dashboards.

Anyone new to Tableau, or those that have a basic understanding and what to take it to the next level

Course Content

·       Creating interactive data visualisations using Tableau that adhere to best practises

·       Connecting to datasets

·       Re-shaping and Transformingdata sources into ones that are optimised for use in Tableau

·       Understanding the difference between blue and green pills

·       Organizing data using Groups and Sets

·       Creating filters to enable to visualise large data sets

·       Enhancing data using calculated fields and parameters

·       Understanding the importance of picking the right colours

·       Adding extra detail to visualisations using shapes, sizes and labels

·       Using tool tips to show extra details when needed

·       Knowing the best chart types to use for your data

·       Creating bar charts

·       Creating Line charts

·       Creating scatterplots

·       Creating heatmaps

·       Creating histograms

·       Creating Maps

·       Creating Dual Axis Charts

·       Creating Line Charts

·       Using the new visual analytics pane in Tableau 9 to quickly add reference lines, trend lines and forecasts

·       Creating dashboards that combine multiple sheets and allow interaction between them

·       Telling a story by creating Tableau Story points.

 

METHODOLOGY

The instructor-led pieces of training are delivered using a combined learning approach and comprise of presentations, practical sessions, and online tutorials. Our facilitators are seasoned industry experts with years of experience, working as professionals and trainers in these fields.

All facilitation and course materials will be offered in English. The participants should be reasonably proficient in English.

ACCREDITATION

Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be issued with Profound Research Services (PRC) certificate.

TRAINING VENUE

The training will be held at PRC Training Centre. The course fee covers the course tuition, training materials, two break refreshments, and lunch.

All participants will additionally cater for travel expenses, visa application (where applicable), insurance among other personal expenses.

MEALS, ACCOMMODATION AND AIRPORT PICKUP

Breakfast, lunch, bottled water and evening refreshments/tea are provided at the venue during the training. Supper/dinner is catered for by the participant
